Scrappy crept nervously into the Warrior's Den. She was still a little new to the Moor Tribe, and learning her way around. There were still smells and sights to get used to. As she came deeper into the den, she sniffed to see if there was any other wolf inside, but if there was she hadn't smelled them yet. She had woken up from a nap and now was feeling disoriented and wondering if she was supposed to do something. Maybe she would find if there were other Warriors planning to go on a hunt later, or a patrol.
If not, she figured she would go have some fun on the moor by herself. She sat down for a moment to scratch her left ear, then stretched, the bones of her tail bracelet rattling softly. She paused, looking around nervously, then decided she would go in deeper and be certain there was no other wolf nearby.

Bone lifted his head at the sound of pawsteps. "Hello Scrappy." He yawned, stretching. He stood up and dipped his head to the other warrior. He shuffled his paws. "Do you want to go on a hunt with me?" He asked, sort of shy since she was a female wolf.

"Oh! Bone, I didn't see you there." Scrappy paused to catch her breath as she was startled to suddenly come upon the other warrior. "I would love to go on a hunt! Running is so much fun, especially if it gets you food. But can the two of us catch something all by ourselves?"
Scrappy sat down at a comfortable distance from Bone and regarded him seriously to see what his answer would be. She still had a lot to learn in the Moor Tribe. As she waited for his reply, she wondered why he seemed a little shy.

"I think we can catch some hare or rabbit at least, maybe we could bring down a fawn or an elderly doe? I don't know where any of the other warriors are, but we could still be a use to the tribe by ourselves." He said. His ears felt a bit hot with embarassment, he really liked Scrappy, she was such a pretty timber wolf. He padded towards the entrance. "Coming?" He called.

Scrappy's own ears tipped forward in surprise. Her sharp eyes had noticed that Bone was turning a little pink. Hmm, he seems shy. I'll try my best not to make him uncomfortable, she decided. "You're right, we should easily be able to bring down a hare," she said confidently, getting to her paws and shaking the dust and dried leaves off her fur. "I'm ready as ever!"
She bounded to the den exit, but pulled to a stop as her bracelet rattled gently. "...maybe I should take this off for the hunt? I don't want to scare away prey. If it's windy as usual, this thing is going to rattle."

He felt Scrappy step beside him, his ears felt a little hot even if the wind was chilly. He hoped she wouldn't notice how uncomfortable he was around girls. He stepped out of the den and bounded across the clearing towards the exit of the camp. [let's continue this thread at "The windy moor"]
